Lisette And Eileen Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG AHAH IJIJ KLKL MNMN OCOA OAOA

When he was here alive EileenA
There was a word you might have saidB
So never mind what I have beenC
Or anything for you are deadB
-
And after this when I am thereD
Where he is you'll be dying stillE
Your eyes are dead and your black hairD
The rest of you be what it willE
-
'Twas all to save him Never mindF
Eileen You saved him You are strongG
I'd hardly wonder if your kindF
Paid everything for you live longG
-
You last I mean That's what I meanA
I mean you last as long as liesH
You might have said that word EileenA
And you might have your hair and eyesH
-
And what you see might be LisetteI
Instead of this that has no nameJ
Your silence I can feel it yetI
Alive and in me like a flameJ
-
Where might I be with him to dayK
Could he have known before he heardL
But no your silence had its wayK
Without a weapon or a wordL
-
Because a word was never toldM
I'm going as a worn toy goesN
And you are dead and you'll be oldM
And I forgive you I supposeN
-
I'll soon be changing as all doO
To something we have always beenC
And you'll be old He liked you tooO
I might have killed you then EileenA
-
I think he liked as much of youO
As had a reason to be seenA
As much as God made black and blueO
He liked your hair and eyes EileenA
