Too late to parley but in time to die | B |
He staggered and lay shapeless on the floor | A |

Love warning malediction hunger fear | D |
Surely I never thwarted such as he | E |
Again what soiled obscurity was this | F |
Out of what scum and up from what abyss | F |
Had they arrived these rags of memory | E |
