Two Pewits Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AAABAAAAAAAAABBUnder the after sunset sky | A |
Two pewits sport and cry | A |
More white than is the moon on high | A |
Riding the dark surge silently | B |
More black than earth Their cry | A |
Is the one sound under the sky | A |
They alone move now low now high | A |
And merrily they cry | A |
To the mischievous Spring sky | A |
Plunging earthward tossing high | A |
Over the ghost who wonders why | A |
So merrily they cry and fly | A |
Nor choose 'twixt earth and sky | A |
While the moon's quarter silently | B |
Rides and earth rests as silently | B |
