This Is No Case Of Petty Right Or Wrong Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEAEDFDFGHGHIJKL DDDDMM

This is no case of petty right or wrongA
That politicians or philosophersB
Can judge I hate not Germans nor grow hotC
With love of Englishmen to please newspapersB
Beside my hate for one fat patriotD
My hatred of the Kaiser is love trueE
A kind of god he is banging a gongA
But I have not to choose between the twoE
Or between justice and injustice DinnedD
With war and argument I read no moreF
Than in the storm smoking along the windD
Athwart the wood Two witches' cauldrons roarF
From one the weather shall rise clear and gayG
Out of the other an England beautifulH
And like her mother that died yesterdayG
Little I know or care if being dullH
I shall miss something that historiansI
Can rake out of the ashes when perchanceJ
The phoenix broods serene above their kenK
But with the best and meanest EnglishmenL
I am one in crying God save England lestD
We lose what never slaves and cattle blessedD
The ages made her that made us from dustD
She is all we know and live by and we trustD
She is good and must endure loving her soM
And as we love ourselves we hate her foeM
