Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDDAB

In the gloom of whitenessA
In the great silence of snowB
A child was sighingC
And bitterly saying OhB
They have killed a white bird up there on her nestD
The down is fluttering from her breastD
And still it fell through that dusky brightnessA
On the child crying for the bird of the snowB
