It Was Upon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDDD EFEGAA

It was upon a July eveningA
At a stile I stood looking along a pathB
Over the country by a second SpringA
Drenched perfect green again 'The lattermathB
Will be a fine one ' So the stranger saidC
A wandering man Albeit I stood at restD
Flushed with desire I was The earth outspreadD
Like meadows of the future I possessedD
-
And as an unaccomplished prophecyE
The stranger's words after the intervalF
Of a score years when those fields are by meE
Never to be recrossed now I recallG
This July eve and question wonderingA
What of the lattermath to this hoar SpringA
