April Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDBEBFGFH IJGJFJKJLMMM

The sweetest thing I thoughtA
At one time between earth and heavenB
Was the first smileC
When mist has been forgivenB
And the sun has stolen outD
Peered and resolved to shine at sevenB
On dabbled lengthening grassesE
Thick primroses and early leaves unevenB
When earth's breath warm and humid far surpassesF
The richest oven's and loudly rings 'cuckoo'G
And sharply the nightingale's 'tsoo tsoo tsoo tsoo'F
To say 'God bless it' was all that I could doH
-
But now I know one sweeterI
By far since the day EmilyJ
Turned weeping backG
To me still happy meJ
To ask forgivenessF
Yet smiled with half a certaintyJ
To be forgiven for whatK
She had never done I knew not what it might beJ
Nor could she tell me having now forgotL
By rapture carried with me past all careM
As to an isle in April lovelierM
Than April's self 'God bless you' I said to herM
