To A Lady Singing A Song Of His Composing Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGFG

Chloris yourself you so excelA
When you vouchsafe to breathe my thoughtB
That like a spirit with this spellA
Of my own teaching I am taughtB
-
That eagle's fate and mine are oneC
Which on the shaft that made him dieD
Espied a feather of his ownE
Wherewith he wont to soar so highD
-
Had Echo with so sweet a graceF
Narcissus' loud complaints returnedG
Not for reflection of his faceF
But of his voice the boy had burnedG
