The Sailor Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA AAAA AAAA BBCBD AAAA

I feel terrible when I see myself failingA
failing when I already saw myself sailingA
sailing to the top where I heard people hailingA
hailing someone they felt was never trailingA
-
and I asked myself who are they hailingA
I didn't even assume I was the one because I saw myself trailingA
another question should I keep sailingA
should I keep trying and keep failingA
-
negative thoughts and imaginations got me drainingA
day and night my eyes kept rainingA
what should I do i kept frainingA
so I decided to give myself a trainingA
-
knowing life is toughB
feeling it path is roughB
accepting the fact that when it's worst I can coughC
but still believe in all my strength was enoughB
and that was how the battle was foughtD
-
now I believe I was never trailingA
now I know I was the one they were hailingA
now I see the need to keep sailingA
now I know I have always been a winner and was never failingA

Poet's note: The moment I realized I was never failing but sailing, my confidence came back.
