The Pain To Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA BBCC DDAA EFFF GG AHI

I thought sugar was sweet not until I tasted youA
I thought I love writing not until I met youA
I thought losing my life was my greatest fears not until I had youA
I thought stories were interesting not until I stayed with youA
-
you were my ups and downsB
my smiles and frownsB
my joy and painsC
my loss and gainsC
-
you were the sweetest thing I tastedD
the reason my time wastedD
cause I never had a clueA
of what people said was trueA
-
you bleed more than my woundsE
you pain more than my bruiseF
you are really hard to loseF
so this is what they call cruiseF
-
I wish I could push you backG
the boldness is what I lackG
-
I will still try to hold youA
no matter how it hurtsH
the pain to loveI

Poet's note: This piece is an expression of what love makes one feel. You are happy and sad and nothing feels enough.
