Neglected Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCCC DCDCCECE FGFHICIC JHJHKCKC JEJEJCJ

I DON'T get much attention nowA
Although I'm not complainingB
I'm forced to get on anyhowA
Another king is reigningB
She doesn't run to wait on meC
However rushed I may beC
Whene'er I need assistance sheC
Is busy with the babyC
-
Time was my shirts were all laid outD
And all my duds were handyC
And those were days without a doubtD
When things were fine and dandyC
But now the time she gave to meC
She's giving to anotherE
It keeps her busy just to beC
A fond and doting motherE
-
Oh I cut quite a figure thenF
To something I amountedG
I stood above all other menF
With her I only countedH
Then often I was petted tooI
And cheered when things went badlyC
But now another's come to wooI
And I'm neglected sadlyC
-
And now I come and go each dayJ
Just merely toleratedH
And often I am in the wayJ
As she has plainly statedH
My wants I'm forced to fill myselfK
However hard it may beC
Oh I've been put upon the shelfK
And put there by a babyC
-
And yet upon that shelf I'd stayJ
And all complainings smotherE
The lad who took my wife awayJ
Has given me his motherE
And every night I kneel and prayJ
That never will the day beC
That I shall fail to hear her sayJ
'I'm busy with the baby '-
