Myself Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDAAEEFFGDHAII AAII

I have to live with myself and soA
I want to be fit for myself to knowA
I want to be able as days go byB
always to look myself straight in the eyeB
I don't want to stand with the setting sunC
and hate myself for the things I have doneC
I don't want to keep on a closet shelfD
a lot of secrets about myselfD
and fool myself as I come and goA
into thinking no one else will ever knowA
the kind of person I really amE
I don't want to dress up myself in shamE
I want to go out with my head erectF
I want to deserve all men's respectF
but here in the struggle for fame and wealthG
I want to be able to like myselfD
I don't want to look at myself and know thatH
I am bluster and bluff and empty showA
I never can hide myself from meI
I see what others may never seeI
I know what others may never knowA
I never can fool myself and soA
whatever happens I want to beI
self respecting and conscience freeI
