From Autumn Thoughts, Poem 1 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CD EF GH

Jade frost bites the maple treesA
and Wu Mountain and Wu Gorge breathe out dark fearB
-
as river waves rise up to the skyC
and dark wind clouds touch ground by a frontier fortressD
-
The chrysanthemums have twice bloomed tears of other daysE
When I moor my lonely boat my heart longs for my old gardenF
-
The need for winter clothes hurries scissors and bamboo rulersG
White Emperor City looms over the rushed sound of clothes beaten at duskH
