Story Of Mrs. W- Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IJIJ

My garden blossoms pink and whiteA
A place of decorous murmuringB
Where I am safe from August nightA
And cannot feel the knife of SpringB
-
And I may walk the pretty placeC
Before the curtsying hollyhocksD
And laundered daisies round of faceC
Good little girls in party frocksD
-
My trees are amiably arrayedE
In pattern on the dappled skyF
And I may sit in filtered shadeE
And watch the tidy years go byF
-
And I may amble pleasantlyG
And hear my neighbors list their bonesH
And click my tongue in sympathyG
And count the cracks in paving stonesH
-
My door is grave in oaken strengthI
The cool of linen calms my bedJ
And there at night I stretch my lengthI
And envy no one but the deadJ
