Song In A Minor Key Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDBEB FGHGIGEG

There's a place I know where the birds swing lowA
And wayward vines go roamingB
Where the lilacs nod and a marble godC
Is pale in scented gloamingB
And at sunset there comes a lady fairD
Whose eyes are deep with yearningB
By an old old gate does the lady waitE
Her own true love's returningB
-
But the days go by and the lilacs dieF
And trembling birds seek coverG
Yet the lady stands with her long white handsH
Held out to greet her loverG
And it's there she'll stay till the shadowy dayI
A monument they grave herG
She will always wait by the same old gateE
The gate her true love gave herG
