Little Words Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

When you are gone there is nor bloom nor leafA
Nor singing sea at night nor silver birdsB
And I can only stare and shape my griefA
In little wordsB
-
I cannot conjure loveliness to drownC
The bitter woe that racks my cords apartD
The weary pen that sets my sorrow downC
Feeds at my heartD
-
There is no mercy in the shifting yearE
No beauty wraps me tenderly aboutF
I turn to little words so you my dearE
Can spell them outF
