Godmother Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFFGFGHIHI JKJKCHCH

The day that I was christenedA
It's a hundred years and moreB
A hag came and listenedA
At the white church doorB
A hearing her that bore meC
And all my kith and kinD
Considerately for meC
Renouncing sinD
While some gave me coralsE
And some gave me goldF
And porringers with moralsE
Agreeably scrolledF
The hag stood buckledF
In a dim gray cloakG
Stood there and chuckledF
Spat and spokeG
There's few enough in life'llH
Be needing my helpI
But I've got a trifleH
For your fine young whelpI
I give her sadnessJ
And the gift of painK
The new moon madnessJ
And the love of rainK
And little good to lave meC
In their holy silver bowlH
After what she gave meC
Rest her soulH
