A Portrait Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDEDFE

Because my love is quick to come and goA
A little here and then a little thereB
What use are any words of mine to swearB
My heart is stubborn and my spirit slowA
Of weathering the drip and drive of woeA
What is my oath when you have but to bareB
My little easy loves and I can dareB
Only to shrug and answer They are soA
-
You do not know how heavy a heart it isC
That hangs about my neck a clumsy stoneD
Cut with a birth a death a bridal dayE
Each time I love I find it still my ownD
Who take it now to that lad now to thisF
Seeking to give the wretched thing awayE
