A Certain Lady Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEF GCGCHCHCIFIF

Oh I can smile for you and tilt my headA
And drink your rushing words with eager lipsB
And paint my mouth for you a fragrant redA
And trace your brows with tutored finger tipsB
When you rehearse your list of loves to meC
Oh I can laugh and marvel rapturous eyedD
And you laugh back nor can you ever seeC
The thousand little deaths my heart has diedD
And you believe so well I know my partE
That I am gay as morning light as snowF
And all the straining things within my heartE
You'll never knowF
-
Oh I can laugh and listen when we meetG
And you bring tales of fresh adventuringsC
Of ladies delicately indiscreetG
Of lingering hands and gently whispered thingsC
And you are pleased with me and strive anewH
To sing me sagas of your late delightsC
Thus do you want me marveling gay and trueH
Nor do you see my staring eyes of nightsC
And when in search of novelty you strayI
Oh I can kiss you blithely as you goF
And what goes on my love while you're awayI
You'll never knowF
