| Like a little boy papa cried bitterly | B |
| As though wishing for his mama to help him | C |
| So embarrassed was papa that day | A |
| Beaten like a naughty child in the days of old | D |

| Answers to his problems he had not | E |
| So papa to alcohol turned for answers | F |
| Just a little to cool his mind | G |
| A little too much for papa s brains | H |

| A little pill mama started taking | I |
| Its name mama knew not | E |
| Advised by an unwise woman down the road | J |
| To take the illegal drug the deadly drug | K |

| Though I live in a mansion | L |
| Better are those down there in a shack | M |
| Though little food they share | N |
| Love and peace in their shack there is | O |

| Mistake me not to desire poverty | B |
| Only a papa and mama I desire | P |
| A role model in my home I have not | E |
| But the maid staying in squatter camp | Q |
| Illiterate is mama s domestic worker | P |
| Yet full of wisdom the maid is | O |

| Wondering wondering I have been | R |
| Like a feather blown away by wind | G |
| So the domestic worker taught me one day | A |
| To pray to my Creator in heaven | L |
| Hope for life I have finally found | S |
