Men At Thirty Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF DFGHI

Thirty today I sawA
The trees flare briefly likeB
The candles upon a cakeC
As the sun went down the skyD
A momentary flashE
Yet there was time to wishF
-
Before the break light could dieD
If I had known what to wishF
As once I must have knownG
Bending above the clean candlelit tableclothH
To blow them out with a breathI
