Sonnet On Famous And Familiar Sonnets And Experiences Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CDCDEFGF HIHIJJ

With much help from Robert Good William ShakespeareA
John Milton and little Catherine SchwartzB
-
-
Shall I compare her to a summer playC
She is too clever too devious too subtle too darkD
Her lies are rare but then she paves the wayC
Beyond the summer's sway within the jejune parkD
Where all souls' aspiration to true nobilityE
Obliges Statues in the Frieze of DeathF
And when this pantomime and Panama of Panorama FailsG
I'll never speak to you agayne or waste her panting breathF
-
When I but think of how her years are spentH
Deadening that one talent which for woman isI
Death or paralysis denied nature's intentH
That each girl be a mother whether or not she isI
Or has become a lawful wife or brideJ
Alma Magna Mater deathless the living death of prideJ
