| but this was my weakness | B |
| It was always so convenient | C |
| to conceal it in the deepness | B |

| Within me I often scream | D |
| like all of it unravels at the seam | D |
| I howl as the agony consumes me | E |
| a painless release I plea | E |

| Passionate memories invade | F |
| always so afraid the intensity will fade | F |
| Maybe I should etch it with a blade | F |
| and see all transgressions paid | F |

| I m haunted on a daily basis | B |
| each memory more abrasive | G |
| I need to be set free | E |
| At least this now I can agree | E |

| Will this poem be the key | E |
| to set me free | E |
| To write out the last chapter | H |
| Will I be set free by my captor | H |
