With their reigns,
Power and commands,
Leaders have been feeding,
Their stomachs since colonialism.

With their bribes,
During election campaigns,
They fade out after election,
To feed their anthils.

They say " maisha bora,
Kwakila mtanzania"
But citizens are in the caste,
Of poverty, stigma, and ignorance,
Since mwalimu.

They don't fight for the people,
But building their new lives,
Coveting a paradise,
While existing on earth.

Oh! My dear,
Today's no sacrifices at all,
Nationalists haven't born yet,
The majority we've,
Aren't ready to die for us,
But for themselves.
