Xxxvi Life-in-love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBC DEEDFF

Not in thy body is thy life at allA
But in this lady's lips and hands and eyesB
Through these she yields thee life that vivifiesB
What else were sorrow's servant and death's thrallA
Look on thyself without her and recallA
The waste remembrance and forlorn surmiseB
That liv'd but in a dead drawn breath of sighsB
O'er vanish'd hours and hours eventualC
-
Even so much life hath the poor tress of hairD
Which stor'd apart is all love hath to showE
For heart beats and for fire heats long agoE
Even so much life endures unknown even whereD
'Mid change the changeless night environethF
Lies all that golden hair undimm'd in deathF
