World's Worth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCDDCEEEAAFFGHHGII IA AJKLMMNOOOO

'TIS of the Father HilaryA
He strove but could not pray so tookB
The steep coiled stair where his feet shookB
A sad blind echo Ever upC
He toiled 'Twas a sick sway of airD
That autumn noon within the stairD
As dizzy as a turning cupC
His brain benumbed him void and thinE
He shut his eyes and felt it spinE
The obscure deafness hemmed him inE
He said O world what world for meA
He leaned unto the balconyA
Where the chime keeps the night and dayF
It hurt his brain he could not prayF
He had his face upon the stoneG
Deep 'twixt the narrow shafts his eyeH
Passed all the roofs to the stark skyH
Swept with no wing with wind aloneG
Close to his feet the sky did shakeI
With wind in pools that the rains makeI
The ripple set his eyes to acheI
He said O world what world for meA
-
He stood within the mysteryA
Girding God's blessed EucharistJ
The organ and the chaunt had ceas'dK
The last words paused against his earL
Said from the altar drawn round himM
The gathering rest was dumb and dimM
And now the sacring bell rang clearN
And ceased and all was awe the breathO
Of God in man that warrantethO
The inmost utmost things of faithO
He said O God my world in TheeO
