Transfigured Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBC DEDEED

As growth of form or momentary glanceA
In a child's features will recall to mindB
The father's with the mother's face combin'dB
Sweet interchange that memories still enhanceA
And yet as childhood's years and youth's advanceA
The gradual mouldings leave one stamp behindB
Till in the blended likeness now we findB
A separate man's or woman's countenanceC
-
So in the Song the singer's Joy and PainD
Its very parents evermore expandE
To bid the passion's fullgrown birth remainD
By Art's transfiguring essence subtly spann'dE
And from that song cloud shaped as a man's handE
There comes the sound as of abundant rainD
