The World-s Doing Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECDEONE scarce would think that we can be the same | A |
Who used in those first childish Junes to creep | B |
With held breath through the underwood and leap | B |
Outside into the sun Since this mine aim | A |
Took me unto itself the joy which came | A |
Into my eyes at once sits hushed and deep | B |
Nor even the sorrow moans but falls asleep | B |
And has ill dreams For you your very name | A |
Seems altered in mine ears and cannot send | C |
Heat through my heart as in those days afar | D |
Wherein we lived indeed with the real life | E |
Yet why should we feel shame my dear sweet friend | C |
Are they most honoured who without a scar | D |
Pace forth all trim and fresh from the splashed strife | E |
