The Song-throe Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDAEEA FGGFHH

By thine own tears thy song must tears begetA
O Singer Magic mirror thou hast noneB
Except thy manifest heart and save thine ownC
Anguish or ardour else no amuletD
Cisterned in Pride verse is the feathery jetA
Of soulless air flung fountains nay more dryE
Than the Dead Sea for throats that thirst and sighE
That song o'er which no singer's lids grew wetA
-
The Song god He the Sun god is no slaveF
Of thine thy Hunter he who for thy soulG
Fledges his shaft to no august controlG
Of thy skilled hand his quivered store he gaveF
But if thy lips' loud cry leap to his smartH
The inspir'd recoil shall pierce thy brother's heartH
