The Love-letter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDDCEE

Warmed by her hand and shadowed by her hairA
As close she leaned and poured her heart through theeB
Whereof the articulate throbs accompanyB
The smooth black stream that makes thy whiteness fairA
Sweet fluttering sheet even of her breath awareA
Oh let thy silent song disclose to meB
That soul wherewith her lips and eyes agreeB
Like married music in Love's answering airA
-
Fain had I watched her when at some fond thoughtC
Her bosom to the writing closelier press'dD
And her breast's secrets peered into her breastD
When through eyes raised an instant her soul soughtC
My soul and from the sudden confluence caughtE
The words that made her love the loveliestE
