The Lady-s Lament Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAAAAAABAAAAAAABAAA AAAAABAAAAAAAAAA

Never happy any moreA
Aye turn the saying o'er and o'erB
It says but what it said beforeA
And heart and life are just as soreA
The wet leaves blow aslant the floorA
In the rain through the open doorA
No no moreA
Never happy any moreA
The eyes are weary and give o'erB
But still the soul weeps as beforeA
And always must each one deploreA
Each once nor bear what others boreA
This is now as it was of yoreA
No no moreA
Never happy any moreA
Is it not but a sorry loreA
That says Take strength the worst is o'erB
Shall the stars seem as heretoforeA
The day wears on more and moreA
While I was weeping the day woreA
No no moreA
Never happy any moreA
In the cold behind the doorA
That was the dial striking fourA
One for joy the past hours boreA
Two for hope and will cast o'erB
One for the naked dark beforeA
No no moreA
Never happy any moreA
Put the light out shut the doorA
Sweep the wet leaves from the floorA
Even thus Fate's hand has swept her floorA
Even thus Love's hand has shut the doorA
Through which his warm feet passed of yoreA
Shall it be opened any moreA
No no no moreA
