The Day-dream Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACCDEED

THE thronged boughs of the shadowy sycamoreA
Still bear young leaflets half the summer throughB
From when the robin 'gainst the unhidden blueB
Perched dark till now deep in the leafy coreA
The embowered throstle's urgent wood notes soarA
Through summer silence Still the leaves come newB
Yet never rosy sheathed as those which drewB
Their spiral tongues from spring buds heretoforeA
Within the branching shade of ReverieC
Dreams even may spring till autumn yet none beC
Like woman's budding day dream spirit fann'dD
Lo tow'rd deep skies not deeper than her lookE
She dreams till now on her forgotten bookE
Drops the forgotten blossom from her handD
