Sonnet Lxix: Autumn Idleness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

This sunlight shames November where he grievesA
In dead red leaves and will not let him shunB
The day though bough with bough be over runB
But with a blessing every glade receivesA
High salutation while from hillock eavesA
The deer gaze calling dappled white and dunB
As if being foresters of old the sunB
Had marked them with the shade of forest leavesA
Here dawn to day unveiled her magic glassC
Here noon now gives the thirst and takes the dewD
Till eve bring rest when other good things passC
And here the lost hours the lost hours renewD
While I still lead my shadow o'er the grassC
Nor know for longing that which I should doD
