Returning To Brussels Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCEDE

Upon a Flemish road when noon was deepA
I passed a little consecrated shrineB
Where among simple pictures ranged in lineB
The blessed Mary holds her child asleepA
To kneel here shepherd maidens leave their sheepA
When they feel grave because of the sunshineB
And again kneel here in the day's declineB
And here when their life ails them come to weepA
Night being full I passed on the same roadC
By the same shrine within a lamp was litD
Which through the silence of clear darkness glowedC
Thus when life's heat is past and doubts ariseE
Darkling the lamp of Faith must strengthen itD
Which sometimes will not light and sometimes diesE
