Praise And Prayer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECFE

DOUBT spake no word in me as there I kneeledA
Loathing I could not praise I could not thankB
God for the cup of evil that I drankB
I dared not cry upon His strength to shieldA
My soul from weapons it was bent to wieldA
Itself against itself And so I sankB
Into the furnished phrases smooth and blankB
Which we all learn in childhood and did yieldA
A barren prayer for life My voice might mixC
With hers but mingled not Hers was a fullD
Grand burst of music which the crown d SevenE
Must have leaned sideways from their seats to fixC
In their calm minds The seraph songs fell dullF
Doubtless when heard again throughout all heavenE
