Place De La Bastille, Paris Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAACCADEFGDF

How dear the sky has been above this placeA
Small treasures of this sky that we see hereB
Seen weak through prison bars from year to yearC
Eyed with a painful prayer upon God's graceA
To save and tears which stayed along the faceA
Lifted at sunset Yea how passing dearC
Those nights when through the bars a wind left clearC
The heaven and moonlight soothed the limpid spaceA
So was it till one night the secret keptD
Safe in low vault and stealthy corridorE
Was blown abroad on gospel tongues of flameF
O ways of God mysterious evermoreG
How many on this spot have cursed and weptD
That all might stand here now and own Thy NameF
