On The Vita Nuova Of Dante Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCADEEAEFEGEF

AS he that loves oft looks on the dear formA
And guesses how it grew to womanhoodB
And gladly would have watched the beauties budC
And the mild fire of precious life wax warmA
So I long bound within the threefold charmD
Of Dante's love sublimed to heavenly moodE
Had marvelled touching his BeatitudeE
How grew such presence from man's shameful swarmA
At length within this book I found pourtrayedE
Newborn that Paradisal Love of hisF
And simple like a child with whose clear aidE
I understood To such a child as thisG
Christ charging well His chosen ones forbadeE
Offence for lo of such my kingdom isF
