Love's Fatality Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDBC EFFEE

Sweet Love but oh most dread Desire of LoveA
Life thwarted Linked in gyves I saw them standB
Love shackled with Vain longing hand to handB
And one was eyed as the blue vault aboveA
But hope tempestuous like a fire cloud hoveC
I' the other s gaze even as in his whose wandD
Vainly all night with spell wrought power has spann'dB
The unyielding caves of some deep treasure troveC
-
Also his lips two writhen flakes of flameE
Made moan 'Alas O Love thus leashed with meF
Wing footed thou wing shouldered once born freeF
And I thy cowering self in chains grown tameE
Bound to thy body and soul named with thy nameE
Life's iron heart even Love's Fatality '-
