Hero's Lamp Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDDCCD

That lamp thou fill'st in Eros name to nightA
O Hero shall the Sestian augurs takeB
To morrow and for drowned Leander's sakeB
To Anteros its fireless lip shall plightA
Aye waft the unspoken vow yet dawn's first lightA
On ebbing storm and life twice ebb'd must breakB
While 'neath no sunrise by the Avernian LakeB
Lo where Love walks Death's pallid neophyteA
-
That lamp within Anteros' shadowy shrineC
Shall stand unlit for so the gods decreeD
Till some one man the happy issue seeD
Of a life's love and bid its flame to shineC
Which still may rest unfir'd for theirs or thineC
O brother what brought love to them or theeD
