Gracious Moonlight Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDDCCD

Even as the moon grows queenlier in mid spaceA
When the sky darkens and her cloud rapt carB
Thrills with intenser radiance from afarB
So lambent lady beams thy sovereign graceA
When the drear soul desires thee Of that faceA
What shall be said which like a governing starB
Gathers and garners from all things that areB
Their silent penetrative lovelinessA
-
O'er water daisies and wild waifs of SpringC
There where the iris rears its gold crowned sheafD
With flowering rush and sceptred arrow leafD
So have I marked Queen Dian in bright ringC
Of cloud above and wave below take wingC
And chase night's gloom as thou the spirit's griefD
