For Spring By Sandro Botticelli Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBCDEEDFA

WHAT masque of what old wind withered New YearA
Honours this Lady Flora wanton eyedB
For birth and with all flowrets prankt and piedB
Aurora Zephyrus with mutual cheerA
Of clasp and kiss the Graces circling nearA
'Neath bower linked arch of white arms glorifiedB
And with those feathered feet which hovering glideB
O'er Spring's brief bloom Hermes the harbingerC
Birth bare not death bare yet the young stems standD
This Lady's temple columns o'er her headE
Love wings his shaft What mystery here is readE
Of homage or of hope But how commandD
Dead Springs to answer And how question hereF
These mummers of that wind withered New YearA
