For An Annunciation, Early German Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDBAEFGHFG

The lilies stand before her like a screenA
Through which upon this warm and solemn dayB
God surely hears For there she kneels to prayB
Who wafts our prayers to God Mary the QueenA
She was Faith's Present parting what had beenC
From what began with her and is for ayeD
On either hand God's twofold system layB
With meek bowed face a Virgin prayed betweenA
So prays she and the Dove flies in to herE
And she has turned At the low porch is oneF
Who looks as though deep awe made him to smileG
Heavy with heat the plants yield shadow thereH
The loud flies cross each other in the sunF
And the aisled pillars meet the poplar aisleG
