Fiammetta Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCDBBCDEEDDE

BEHOLD Fiammetta shown in Vision hereA
Gloom girt 'mid Spring flushed apple growth she standsB
And as she sways the branches with her handsB
Along her arm the sundered bloom falls sheerC
In separate petals shed each like a tearD
While from the quivering bough the bird expandsB
His wings And lo thy spirit understandsB
Life shaken and shower'd and flown and Death drawn nearC
All stirs with change Her garments beat the airD
The angel circling round her aureoleE
Shimmers in flight against the tree's grey boleE
While she with reassuring eyes most fairD
A presage and a promise stands as 'twereD
On Death's dark storm the rainbow of the SoulE
