Astarte Syriaca Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDDCED

MYSTERY lo betwixt the sun and moonA
Astarte of the Syrians Venus QueenB
Ere Aphrodite was In silver sheenB
Her twofold girdle clasps the infinite boonA
Of bliss whereof the heaven and earth communeA
And from her neck's inclining flower stem leanB
Love freighted lips and absolute eyes that weanB
The pulse of hearts to the spheres' dominant tuneA
Torch bearing her sweet ministers compelC
All thrones of light beyond the sky and seaD
The witnesses of Beauty's face to beD
That face of Love's all penetrative spellC
Amulet talisman and oracleE
Betwixt the sun and moon a mysteryD
