| They escaped from politics persecusion and a war | C |
| They sailed over waters that few men had ever passed | D |
| They sailed on a wind blown ship that had but one strong mast | D |
| Their food was poor their rations thin their water barely fit to drink | E |
| But never once did one man think their ship could ever fail upon the road to freedom | F |
