When Cold December Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCDDCCCCEEEEEEFFE AEA

When cold DecemberA
Froze to grisamberA
The jangling bells on the sweet rose treesB
Then fading slowC
And furred is the snowC
As the almond's sweet huskD
And smelling like muskD
The snow amygdalineC
Under the eglantineC
Where the bristling stars shineC
Like a gilt porcupineC
The snow confessesE
The little PrincessesE
On their small chioppinesE
Dance under the orpinesE
See the casuistriesE
Of their slant fluttering eyesE
Gilt as the zodiacF
Dancing HerodiacF
Only the snow slidesE
Like gilded myrrhA
From the rose branches hidesE
Rose roots that stirA
