Rhyme Scheme: ABCD CEFE GHI JI

You who wronged a simple manA
Bursting into laughter at the crimeB
And kept a pack of fools around youC
To mix good and evil to blur the lineD
-
Though everyone bowed down before youC
Saying virtue and wisdom lit your wayE
Striking gold medals in your honorF
Glad to have survived another dayE
-
Do not feel safe The poet remembersG
You can kill one but another is bornH
The words are written down the deed the dateI
-
And you d have done better with a winter dawnJ
A rope and a branch bowed beneath your weightI
