Theodicy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHI

No it won t do my sweet theologiansA
Desire will not save the morality of GodB
If he created beings able to choose between good and evilC
And they chose and the world lies in iniquityD
Nevertheless there is pain and the undeserved torture of creaturesE
Which would find its explanation only by assumingF
The existence of an archetypal ParadiseG
And a pre human downfall so graveH
That the world of matter received its shape from diabolic powerI
