The Dining Room Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE BFGH IJKG

A room with low windows with brown shadesA
Where a Danzig clock keeps silent in the cornerB
A low leather sofa and right above itC
The sculpted heads of two smiling devilsD
And a copper pan shows its gleaming paunchE
-
On the wall a painting that depicts winterB
A crowd of people skate on iceF
Between the trees smoke comes from a chimneyG
And crows fly in an overcast skyH
-
Nearby a second clock A bird sits insideI
It pops out squawking and calls three timesJ
And it has barely finished its third and last callK
When mother ladles out soup from a hot tureenG
