Study Of Loneliness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKL

A guardian of long distance conduits in the desertA
A one man crew of a fortress in the sandB
Whoever he was At dawn he saw furrowed mountainsC
The color of ashes above the melting darknessD
Saturated with violet breaking into fluid rougeE
Till they stood immense in the orange lightF
Day after day And before he noticed year after yearG
For whom he thought that splendor For me aloneH
Yet it will be here long after I perishI
What is it in the eye of a lizard Or when seen by a migrant birdJ
If I am all mankind are they themselves without meK
And he knew there was no use crying out for none of them would save himL
